Applications could include collecting, recording and communicating real-time information on the activities of a vehicle, with accurate start and stop times, time spent on-site or at customer visits, routes taken and the distance traveled. Notifications could occur when vehicles become disabled or approach a predefined geographical area or boundary.

The 2 serial ports & 3 digital input / output or analogue input ports provide the flexibility to monitor additional vehicle sensors such as: door, light or temperature sensors or information from PLC's, RFID or barcode readers.

The Cube 2 has been designed with a battery back up capability allowing the unit to be powered from an external gel cell battery should the vehicles power be disconnected. As well, the Cube 2 is capable of detecting and reporting when the GPS antenna has been disconnected, both vital features to counter deliberate tampering.

The Cube 2 includes a high quality, 12-channel GPS receiver that incorporates patented algorithms to optimize performance in poor reception areas such as under dense foliage or inner city canyon environments. It is supplied with a quad band GPRS/GSM digital modem, suitable for use worldwide.

Set-up is easy with the Cube 2's always-on connection, simple hardware installation and flexible configuration options. It easily connects with devices such as mobile data terminals and PDA devices to form a complete messaging and tracking system..
